Ensuring the safety and security of people and property at your venue is critical. Top management of public assembly venues and events need to know about day-to-day security issues; enabling you to take charge with the right strategies when—not if— a crisis happens.
The Academy for Venue Safety & Security is offering a short course designed specifically for senior leaders, focusing on need-to-know safety and security issues. Participants will also have a unique opportunity to get hands-on incident command experience through a tabletop Incident Command Analytical & Tactical Simulation (ICATS) exercise.
The CEO Symposium will be held on Monday, July 25, during IAVM’s VenueConnect in Phoenix, Ariz., from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Tuition is $275 US and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks on day of CEO Symposium.
In 8 hours, senior managers will take part in a high-level review of key issues:
• Risk assessment and how it’s used in the decision-making process
• Emergency preparedness and the preparation of an emergency plan
• Security operations and the application of security principles in venue and event management
• Training techniques and their in emergency preparedness
For the most effective experiential learning, the AVSS CEO Symposium is limited to 25 senior leaders; including CEOs, general managers, assistant general managers, executive directors and senior event managers.
