Rapid changes and improvements in technology make it hard to keep abreast of the newest and latest developments, and technology is a crucial tool that helps make venue managers more productive and effective. This report provides information including 1) the acceptance of social media as a normal business function – which are widely used, and the venues most actively utilizing each media; 2) the leading technology investment that most venues are planning to make; 3) the leading uses of business, events, financial, sales and operations management software – and the preferred products for these uses; and many other interesting facts regarding the use of technology in venues. This survey was funded by the IAVM Foundation.
