The International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) is pleased to announce Brad Mayne, CVE, has signed a five-year contract extension to extend his tenure as president and CEO through July 2024.

"Brad is an effective leader who has brought stability and renewed energy to IAVM," said IAVM Board Chair, Tammy Koolbeck, CVE. "Under his leadership, new initiatives are being planned and implemented including working with the Board of Directors to strengthen the leadership pipeline for volunteer leadership roles and a new association management system."

Since he began as president and CEO July 2016, Mayne has used strategic planning to grow membership by 30% and strengthened the association’s overall financial well-being. He has also collaborated with other benchmark industry associations to create and launch initiatives to enhance IAVM's member benefit offerings (SecureVenues Portal, Economic Impact Standardization, Industry Tool Kits, etc.), as well as ensure greater relevance in the industries our diverse venues operate. Mayne has also helped to increase awareness for diversity and inclusive leadership within IAVM and the member venues the association serves.

"Brad has brought IAVM forward as the go-to association for all things venues," stated Michael Marion, CVE, IAVM Board Past Chair. "His commitment to the members has been outstanding, and his enterprising approach will serve us well into the future. I’m glad Brad is with us for another 5 years."

Looking to the future of IAVM, Mayne plans to work with the association's leadership to create additional live and online learning and resource programs, work to ensure all sectors and size of market/venue are served equally, and continue to develop and promote all current initiatives.

"I am humbled and honored that the Board has elected to extend my employment contract with IAVM," said Mayne. "I look forward to continuing the association journey I began three years ago in working with a dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, and a productive and caring volunteer Board and Officers. It's important to acknowledge that IAVM’s successes over the past three years are due to the servant leaders who permeate IAVM Membership. Thank you for your passion and support."
