Sea Turtle Inc. Rescue Center and Birding and Nature Center

Check out one of the most unique venues on Earth at IAVM Region 6 Conference this year! As the only nesting place in the world for the Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle, at Sea Turtle Inc., our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate injured sea turtles for release back into the wild, educate the public, and assist with conservation efforts for all marine turtle species. As a guest of the South Padre Island CVB you will be able to participate in a "Turtle Talk" with one of the facilities' curators and go behind the scenes of the newly expanded rescue center. After cooling off with some of the rarest turtles in our oceans, we’ll walk right next door to the Birding and Nature Center. With Over 3300 linear feet of boardwalk, 5 Bird Blinds, a five (5) story tower with spectacular views of the Laguna Madre Bay, Beaches & dunes of South Padre Island, the Gulf of Mexico, & the South Padre Island Skyline, you'll get a guided tour of the facility and some of the local flora and fauna. Round trip transportation included.

Cost: $25 per person
Depart hotel at 1:00 PM
Return to hotel by 4:00 PM
